Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our preoperative team. This role primarily supports Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) patients, with additional responsibilities in the Pre-Op area as needed. The Surgical RN plays a key role in ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes throughout the surgical care continuum.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within the perioperative setting, including PACU and Pre-Op services
- Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
- Demonstrate excellence in communication and customer service with patients, families, and colleagues
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety procedures, and clinical best practices
- Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment for all patients in surgical services
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active Washington State RN license (or ability to obtain)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Preferred: CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse) credential
- Preferred: Minimum two years of perioperative nursing experience or successful completion of a surgery nursing internship program
Compensation & Benefits
